According to behavioural psychologists, if you want to achieve your goals and objectives, you have to make them SMART.
This is, by no means, a new concept. Furthermore, it´s completely logical. However, it´s amazing how many people and businesses don´t use this simple methodology to help them succeed.
So, from my point of view, if you want to achieve something, your first step should be to use the SMART model, as you are bound to succeed if you do.
The clients of Inglés Málaga have a lot to celebrate. 2015 has definitely been a year of overcoming challenges, success and achievement. Indeed, on a professional level we have:
- passed a lot of official English qualifications
- set up new businesses
- won new clients
- got jobs abroad
- got better jobs in Spain
- had job interviews and recruitment assessments in English
- improved and used our English to meet new people and help lost tourists in the streets of Málaga
- been visited 14,000 times from 120 different countries
Furthermore, between us we have had our first baby, our first wedding, and, we are pregnant again! On a personal note, I have successfully NOT burnt down the kitchen which, for those of you who know me well, IS a massive achievement.
Inglés Málaga clients are deliciously amazing and you should all be proud of yourselves. We certainly aren’t sheep, we do stand out from the crowd, and, like Star Wars, ‘our force has awakened’!
So, say goodbye to 2015 and hello to 2016; it is going to be a year of joy, fun, ambition and success!
It is well known that success doesn’t come easily.
For example, being successful at work takes time, experience and mistakes; finding the perfect partner takes effort, understanding and compromise, or, as in my case, a bottle of whiskey, some medicinal herbs and a chocolate cake; and finally, passing an English exam takes determination, commitment, practice and, in my opinion, an intelligent examiner.
So, with this in mind, I would like to congratulate the clients I had over the summer who demonstrated all these characteristics and a lot more.
You are seriously an inspiration to me and deserve to celebrate. Go on, let your hair down and celebrate your achievements; you could even recharge your batteries with a night out!
There were 994 blogs competing against us, and our winning position was in the top 4%.
Top 4%, OMG – top 4%; I’m on cloud 9, I’m over the moon and as excited as a kid in a toy shop! Are we fantastic? Of course we are! Seriously, it’s really amazing news and I’m very grateful to everyone who took the time to vote for us. Thank you so much!
Unfortunately, because we won’t receive the prize money, we can’t afford to pay for a hedonistic party, neither invest in a learning grant, nor fund some work experience as I promised we would do if we won. However, I’m going to put my thinking cap on and try to come up with some other ways to celebrate our success. Perhaps a beach party in the summer? What do you think?
