Phrasal Verbs and Objects: To hand out

Spiderman hands out leafletsWith phrasal verbs that require an object, the object can go before or after the verb but not if the object is a pronoun*.
Examples:

  1. Spiderman spent the afternoon handing out leaflets.
  2. Spiderman spent the afternoon handing leaflets out.
  3. Spiderman spent the afternoon handing them out.

OMG: No, No and No again! *Spiderman spent the afternoon handing out them. (WRONG)
