To kiss: To pucker up

pucker upTo pucker up is a phrasal verb which means to get your lips ready to kiss somebody, or as they say in Yorkshire: ‘ to snog the face off’ somebody.

For example, I am usually the first person to pucker up under the mistletoe during the festive season of Christmas.  You’ve got to be in it, to win it!
