To be a sweet person

sweet and mean witchIf you say that someone is a sweet person, you are saying that that they are kind, gracious and endearing as opposed to bitter, hard and mean. For example, when Dorothy went to Oz she met the sweet witch of the North and the mean witch of the West.  The sweet witch gave Dorothy a pair of magic ruby slippers while the mean witch stole  her dog, Todo.
