To be up my street

to be up my streetIs a common idiom which means the type of thing that you are interested in or the type of thing that you enjoy doing.

For example, if you are an adrenalin junkie, then doing extreme sports, will be up your street. However, if, like my mother, you are a culture vulture, then perhaps pontificating at museums will be up your street. But, more importantly, if you are George Clooney, you are definitely up my street and I would very much like you to pop in!
