To take a rain check is an informal expression which means you can not accept an invitation but you intend to do so at a later date.
As you know at Inglés Málaga we are not keen on learning by looking at long lists. Lists are for shopping, daily tasks and reminding yourself to wash the windows and write to your mother!
In our opinion it is much more effective and personal to improve your vocabulary through situational learning. When you learn a new word make sure you know the opposite and at least one synonym.
For example: The situation is Holidays, my new word is: happy, my synonym is cheerful, my opposite is: unhappy.
