Lights Off

Every evening my mother used to say: Lights off Janette, it’s time to go to sleep.  The phrase means, turn the light off and go to sleep.  However, it’s also an expression that is used when somebody or something dies.  Today is a sad day for the world of creative digital technology because it’s lights off for Steve Jobs.  Steve Jobs was the founder of Apple and today it was reported that he has died from pancreatic cancer.  I feel a little melancholic.

  1. Apart from being a genius in technhlogy he was a great thinker, saying phrases like this…
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
